About Our Core Training

The Harley Academy Core Training in Botox & Dermal Fillers is an in-depth aesthetic injectables training course that will give new injectors the crucial mentorship required to begin a thriving career.

This is the ideal pathway for students who aren’t ready to take the leap into the Level 7 Diploma, but are certain they want to have a career as an aesthetics practitioner. The Observation and Mentoring on this course will enhance your competence as a safer injector over and above what a standard Foundation Day is able to achieve.

On this course, you will gain essential knowledge in the science and theory of dermal fillers and botox through 12 hours of eLearning. You will also attend a combination of remote and hands-on training at one of our state-of-the-art clinics, where you will learn in small groups and one-to-one with our expert trainers.

Core Training Course Structure

Foundation - Observation - Mentoring

Our Core Training in Botox & Dermal Fillers brings together our Foundation Training, our three primary 1:1 Training Courses and parts of our Level 7 Diploma course to create a unique, intermediary experience that will enable you to practice aesthetic medicine safely.

Before Enrolment

To be eligible to enrol on this course, you must be a doctor, dentist, nurse or midwife with a valid professional registration number with an active license to practice.

When you enrol, you will gain access to the Core Training in Botox & Dermal Fillers eLearning course and will be allocated your in-clinic training which will be bookable through your Harley Academy account.

Your in-clinic training allocation will consist of:

1 Foundation Training in Botox & Dermal Fillers*
1 Observation Day, remotely learning from live consultations and injections
2 Half-Day Mentoring Sessions.

*If you have already completed the Harley Academy Foundation Training in Botox & Dermal Fillers, the fee will be discounted from this course and you will not have an extra Foundation Training day allocated.

STEP 1

Foundation Training

Foundation Training in Botox & Dermal Fillers is your essential introduction to injectable facial aesthetics. During this part of the course you will learn:

essential science and theory behind injectables
how to inject three areas with botox
how to inject lips, cheeks and folds with dermal filler
the technique behind using a cannula with dermal filler
how to run successful and ethical consultation.

First, you will complete the six hour Foundation Training eLearning to ground yourself in the science and theory of botox and dermal fillers.

You will then join us for a full day in clinic that will start with a recap of your eLearning, giving you ample opportunity to discuss any questions you have with your expert trainer.

Following the recap, you will practice the techniques you’ve learned on high-fidelity mannequins before breaking up into smaller groups to observe live treatments and treat your first patient.

Foundation Training is in small groups to ensure an engaging learning experience, and there is no model sharing, so you will be able to perform a full treatment on your first live patient.

Upon completion of your Foundation Training, you will receive a CPD certificate that will allow you to gain the appropriate insurance to begin practising aesthetics in the UK.

STEP 2

Observation Day

Once you have completed your Foundation Training, you will join us for an Observation Day. At your Observation Day, you will watch a Harley Academy expert perform live injectable treatment demonstrations.

These demonstrations will take you through the full patient treatment cycle, covering consultation, treatment planning, injecting, aftercare and post-treatment advice. You will observe a variety of injection techniques and your trainer will provide live instruction throughout.

STEP 3

Mentoring Sessions

Once you have completed your Observation Day, you will then be able to schedule two half-days in our clinic for one-to-one live patient mentoring in botox and dermal filler treatments.

These mentoring sessions are the best way to gain practical skills and experience as an aesthetic injector. You will be in one of our training clinics to consult and treat filler cases.

During your mentoring session, you will take the lead with each patient, learning the full treatment cycle first-hand with the guidance of your Harley Academy expert trainer.

In these one-to-one sessions, your mentor will advise and supervise to make sure you are developing your skills and gaining the live clinic experience necessary to become a confident practitioner.

STEP 4

Certification

After completing the Foundation Training on this course, you will receive a foundation certificate that will allow you to gain insurance to begin practicing. Upon sufficient completion of the full course, you will receive a Harley Academy Core Training professional certificate.
