Our Foundation Day, Level 7 and Cosmetic Dermatology courses assume a certain level of prior medical knowledge. As such, they are not suitable for non-medical practitioners.
Harley Academy graduates can expect to go straight into private practice or top roles in aesthetics clinics, and must ensure patients can rely on their capacity for clinical oversight and safe management of potential complications, as well as the skills learnt on our courses.
The degrees we accept for students are:
Along with a valid registration number with the appropriate body, e.g. GMC, NMC, GDC.
If you are from another background and wish to go into aesthetic medicine, we recommend taking an appropriate undergraduate degree, such as nursing, to future-proof your career and ensure that you can continue to find appropriate cosmetic medical insurance.
If you’re unsure whether or not you are eligible to enrol for a Harley Academy course, please note you must satisfy all of these entry criteria:
Already be a qualified doctor, nurse, midwife or dentist,
- Have a valid registration number with the appropriate regulatory body for your profession (either in the UK, or in your home country),
- Have fluent English – either as your first language, or passed an IELTS exam in the last two years and scored above 7 in each section.
