Tear trough filler is an increasingly in-demand under eye treatment which is also one of the trickiest, most advanced aesthetic procedures.

It can provide wonderful, subtle results that instantly refresh a patient’s look. In those with notable hollowing, tear trough fillers can instantly make them appear less tired and more awake – common requests we’re sure you’ll have heard!

However, not only does this treatment require in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy and ageing as well as safe injection techniques. Patient selection and proper consultation also play a pivotal role in ensuring the best possible outcome.

There are a number of contraindications and potential complications associated with this treatment that require specific education.

This is why we have added dedicated tear trough filler training to our new Advanced Masterclasses in Injectables.

What does the Advanced Tear Trough Masterclass involve?

This Masterclass includes at-home eLearning which covers the mid-face and fundamental aspects of filler. This is yours to keep and can be used as a valuable reference tool throughout your career.

Once your eLearning training has been completed you can move on to a full day of in-clinic training at our state-of-the-art Academy. This is hosted by an experienced aesthetics specialist with breakfast, lunch and refreshments provided so you can focus on getting the most from your Masterclass!

The day is broken down into a number of sections and you are welcome to ask questions throughout.

• Discussion of and advice in key areas including anatomical considerations, patient consultation and treatment planning.

• Narrated live demonstration of a tear trough filler treatment performed by an aesthetics specialist.

• One-to-one injecting instruction as you treat your own patient, administering tear trough filler with guidance from an experienced aesthetic mentor.

Who is the Advanced Tear Trough Masterclass suitable for?

Experienced aesthetics practitioners who are licensed doctors, dentists, nurses or midwives who have successfully completed Foundation Training in injectables. This can be through Harley Academy or another recognised provider.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate confidence in using a cannula.

What will I learn and what qualification will it give me?

Your in-person training is contained to small group sizes to maximise the attention given to each student and enhance your learning potential. Additionally, your eLearning will equip you with solid foundational knowledge about the theoretical and anatomical considerations involved. This combined approach will ensure you learn everything you need to know to treat the tear trough area safely and effectively.

• Periorbital anatomy, including the layers of the face, nerves, arteries, veins, ligaments and lymphatics.

• Relevant facial ageing factors.

• Patient selection, consultation and examination.

• Treatment planning.

• Product selection.

• Prevention, identification and management of tear trough-related complications, including malar oedema.

• Safe injecting techniques and approaches – theoretical and practical learning.

• How to perform safe and effective tear trough filler treatments.

Upon successful completion of both elements of your Advanced Tear Trough Masterclass you will be awarded a certificate. This will be sent out to you.
