Course Description

Designed for medical professionals who want to develop their knowledge of skin science and to broaden their aesthetics clinical skills by delivering a wide range of cosmetic skin treatments.

Go Deeper

Most courses teaching cosmetic skin treatments show you how to use one brand of product in one day. This course is different; we teach you the overarching principles of achieving and maintaining skin health using a range of treatment modalities and active ingredients. This breadth of knowledge will not only make you a safe and confident aesthetic practitioner but will also allow you to make informed choices when selecting which treatments and products to include in your business.

The Cosmetic Dermatology course includes access to our online community. Network, discover and ask questions in our forums.

By the end of this course you won’t be beholden to any particular brand, device or range. You’ll instead have the skills to evaluate new products and active ingredients for yourself. Empower yourself and your clients.

Course Structure

The course consists of three hands-on training days, comprehensive online learning, support, and access to our community of aesthetics students and online forums.

After Completion

After this course you will be able to include a range of microneedling, advanced peels and combination treatments to your CV and/or private practice.

What Will I Learn?

By the end of this course you’ll be able to:

Run a safe skin clinic

This course covers everything you need to know to set up a professional medical aesthetics clinic that complies with appropriate policy, law and ethics for rejuvenation treatments. This enables you to set up your own business, or integrate these treatments into your existing private  practice.

Understand the principles of topical skin therapy

Skin products that patients apply regularly to the surface of their skin range from highly effective to useless, or even dangerous. This course teaches you to understand which  ‘active’ ingredients work and which ones don’t allowing you to offer your patients individualised and effective skin product plans.

Perform microneedling treatments

Confidently include microneedling with a roller device and mechanised SkinPen device  in your clinical practice.

Perform simple to advanced chemical peels

In addition to superficial ‘lunchtime’ peels, you’ll also learn how to confidently tackle darker skin types, use a wide range of peeling agents for different indications and use TCA peels to a medium-depth.

Perform injectable skin treatments

Integrate injectable skin treatments into your practice. This new and exciting field of treatments includes, skin boosters, mesotherapy and unique biorevitalisation products.

Combine rejuvenation treatments

Use microneedling and chemical peels together for even better results tailored to your patients’ needs.

Please note that we do not accept dental nurses or dental hygienists on any of our injectables or cosmetic dermatology courses including those with GDC numbers. The following professional groups are approved for entry onto this course:
