Your Level 7 Practical Aesthetics Training Sessions

As you start your practical aesthetics training, here’s what you should know about this key part of your Level 7.

Practical sessions are a crucial element of this Master’s level botox and filler course. First, you’ll learn how to inject on mannequins so you get to grips with the basics. You’ll then treat your own patients, that we source for you, under the trained eye of your mentor. 

We believe it’s important that each of our trainees gets an individual learning experience. That's why our Level 7 trainees never share patients. 

You’ll train in a real, working aesthetics clinic, treating a variety of patient presentations with one-to-one specialist guidance. Understanding the whole appointment is the best way to develop your skills and build your confidence as an aesthetics practitioner.

Your Harley Academy Level 7 practical training sessions

For your Level 7 Diploma in Botox & Dermal Fillers, you’ll need to complete the following:

• 1 x Foundation Training in botox and dermal fillers (practical and theory day)
• 2 x Observation Days (observed case demonstrations)
• 4 x Mentoring Sessions - these are four half days (practical). 

Up first is your Foundation Training, followed by your first Observation Day and one of your aesthetics Mentoring Sessions. 

You can then complete your remaining Observation Day and Mentoring Sessions in any order. However, your last Mentoring Session must be after your final Observation Day, so remember this when booking your sessions through our eLearning platform.

Where is our Level 7 practical aesthetics training held?

All Level 7 practical sessions are held at our dedicated City of London aesthetics training clinic.

Whilst not a practical session, we hold a remote Observation Day once a month. This is available via a Zoom link on your eLearning account. This allows you to take part from wherever you happen to be, internet connection permitting. Birmingham, Essex, Ireland, the choice is yours!

What order should I complete my Level 7 practical sessions in?

Many of our trainees like to complete their Foundation Training, then one Observation Day, followed by two of their Mentoring Sessions. They follow this up with another Observation Day before attending their final two Mentoring Sessions.

It’s important to remember that your last Mentoring Session will also be your Direct Observation of Practical Skills (DOPS) assessment. You’ll have one DOPS for your final filler case and one for toxin. We’ve written a whole guide on Passing Your Level 7 DOPS Exam, that’ll help you ace these practical assessments.

At Harley Academy, we don’t want you to feel overwhelmed. It's important for your comprehension that you enjoy your aesthetics course! As Level 7 specialists, we’re more aware than most of the challenges you can face and are here to help.

We recommend planning ahead when booking your in-person and practical training, so you can find a time that suits you best. This is especially the case if you’re coming from other parts of the UK such as Manchester or Liverpool. Take advantage of our booking service to reserve better-value train tickets!

If you're closer to London and you find yourself with some time off, you can check in for last-minute availability. We aim to be as flexible as possible, to ensure you get the most out of your aesthetics training. Our Student Support team will always try to find a time and pace that suits you.
