Observation Days
Observing treatments is a crucial part of the training requirements outlined in the 2016 HEE Guidelines. On our Level 7 Qualification, you will have two full Observation Days.
At your Observation Days, you will shadow our expert cosmetic practitioners in our Academy Clinic to watch live injectable treatments.
During your Observation Days you will watch a variety of injection techniques first hand and receive live instruction. Being in a small teaching group, you will have the time and space to have your questions answered.
Your Observation Days cover the full patient treatment cycle, covering consultation, treatment planning, injecting, aftercare, and post-treatment advice. In completing your Observation Days, you will have the awareness and knowledge to further build upon your practical skills during your supervised Mentoring Sessions.
Mentoring Sessions
Mentoring is a central part of the 2016 government training recommendations for delivery of cosmetic procedures. The Harley Academy Level 7 Certificate and our associated mentoring scheme is designed to ensure that you meet these guidelines.
Your Mentoring Sessions are the best way to gain hands-on practical skills and experience in aesthetic injectables. The sessions are a bespoke 1:1 learning experience to enable you to rapidly improve your fine motor abilities and client consultation skills.
You will see a minimum of 4 patients over each session and can attend as many times as required to fulfil your logbook requirements, and your sessions will help you:
• Rapidly improve your technique with tips and feedback from your mentor, focused on your particular strengths and learning needs.
• Learn an array of injection techniques by practising them first hand on a live patient.
• Practise mixing the correct dosage for a range of indications of varying intensity covering key treatments.

You will also learn to recognise skin conditions that contraindicate treatment, as well as referral pathways for patients suffering from skin-related concerns.
