Are you a clinical or beauty professional who wants to expand your clinical knowledge and offer medical grade aesthetic treatments? Achieve career progression with this one day course in skin rejuvenation.
All aesthetic practice starts with skin. This one day course covers the essentials of clinical skin health and hands-on practice of the two main skin techniques that are the hallmark of the able aesthetic practitioner: microneedling and chemical peels.
In this introduction to the world of skin, you will cover the basics of skin health and main techniques for aesthetic rejuvenation. Learn how to assess your patient’s skin type, condition and tone to figure out what procedures to use for best results.
On booking this course you will be given access to an online module of foundation learning. You must complete this learning before coming on the course, which should take no more than 2-3 hours. You will have the access to this content after course attendance, which will provide you with some essential support as you enter the field of aesthetic medicine.
Two weeks prior to the start of your course you will be given pre-learning to complete. This should take between 2-3 hours. This pre-learning must be completed along with a multiple choice questionnaire by 1pm the day before your Foundation Day.
On the day itself, the course will include:
> Lectures by experienced aesthetic practitioners
> Practice sessions for both procedures
> Live demonstrations on real patients
> Instruction on how to manage complications
> Supervision and personal feedback from experienced skin rejuvenation practitioners
> Small groups (2 trainers to 8-12 delegates)
> Group Q&A
By the end of the day you will be able to:
> Demonstrate a basic understanding of skin science
> Undertake a thorough assessment of your patient’s skin
> Start clinical record keeping
> Explain the macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of relevant facial skin layers
> Explain how microneedling, mesotherapy and chemical peel treatments work
> Recognise and treat conditions suitable for microneedling
> Recognise and treat conditions suitable for mild chemical peels
> Deliver appropriate post-treatment advice and management
> Recognise complications and deliver appropriate management
To attend this course you must have:
