Announcing Harley Academy Manchester: SkinViva Acquisition

We’re proud to announce our new UK aesthetics training location: Harley Academy Manchester.

This follows our acquisition of SkinViva Training Academy & Clinic, one of the UK’s most respected aesthetic training providers. 

Based in Spinningfields, SkinViva has long been known for its strong clinical reputation in the North of England. Today it becomes Harley Academy Manchester.

Bringing accredited aesthetics training to the North of England

We’ve been hearing for a while about the demand for reputable, accredited postgraduate aesthetics courses for healthcare professionals in the North of England. This, and our Founder’s ties to the area - having completed his Master’s in aesthetic medicine at Manchester University - made our strategic acquisition of SkinViva Training a no-brainer. 

This move allows us to meet that need, ensuring medics in the region have access to safe, ethical, and clinically grounded training, without having to travel to London.

Whilst many medics travel to our London campuses to complete their practical botox and filler training, we wanted to offer another option. A local option, and one that builds on the  strong foundation built by SkinViva Founder, Dr Tim Pearce.

When does Harley Academy Manchester open?

Harley Academy Manchester is open now! You’ll find us in the St John’s Villas building on Quay Street, right next to the Everyman Cinema. 

We’ll officially launch our in-person training there in October 2025. But, for now, our range of aesthetics courses are available to book via our dedicated support team. 

This gives you plenty of time to get stuck into your pre-course eLearning!

What courses will be available?

Manchester medical professionals will benefit from our full range of hands-on medical aesthetics training. 

This includes our Ofqual-regulated Level 7 Diploma in Cosmetic Injectables, and our popular cosmetic dermatology courses in treatments such as polynucleotides, Profhilo, Structura, microneedling, and chemical peels.

During this transition period, the only difference - besides the location - is how you book these courses.

Our Manchester aesthetics courses and skin training options should be booked directly with our Course Advisors. You can drop them an email on enquiries@harleyacademy.com or book a call with them for a chat at a time that suits you.

What does this acquisition mean for current SkinViva students?

As with any acquisition, there’ll be a transition period. Over the next three months, we’ll be working closely with the SkinViva team to manage a smooth transition for their existing trainees. 

During this time, SkinViva students can login to their accounts on the SkinViva Training website as normal. They can also book their remaining practical sessions, and contact their support team in the same way as usual. Beyond this, Student Support teams on both sides are working hard to make this transition seamless and are happy to help with any enquiries.

Harley Academy’s ambitious international growth strategy

This is a significant moment for us. It marks the launch of our third UK campus, and our fourth international training school, following the recent opening of Harley Academy Toronto in partnership with Prollenium at PACE Academy, Canada.

We’ve also developed a global offering, via our digital International Advanced Aesthetics Diploma. This is a comprehensive, online postgraduate diploma for aesthetic practitioners based outside the UK.

Harley Academy is committed to rapid growth in order to facilitate a rise in standards for the safe, standardised, evidence-based practice of aesthetic medicine, internationally.
