He is currently completing postgraduate studies in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Manchester.

Beth recently published her postgraduate research at University College London on using functional near-infrared spectroscopy to monitor brain activity in real world cognitive tasks (2015).
A Finland-based cosmetic doctor, researcher and writer with over 12 years experience in aesthetic medicine. Dr Burton’s previous practice in dermatology and basic skin cancer surgery in the UK led to an academic interest in the ageing process of the skin and facial structures.
Dr Burton’s research interests also include the impact of history, politics and economics on definitions of ‘beauty’, and the impact of this in turn on self-confidence and ideas of personal identity.
Founder of the specialist psychology service Cosmetic Surgery Counselling, an Expert Reference Group Member of Health Education England NWL. She has over 16 years’ experience providing pre and postoperative emotional support for cosmetic surgery patients. In-line with Harley Academy’s philosophy, Deborah is a champion of evidence-based practice.
