Dr Raul Cetto, MBBS, PhD

Medical Director & Clinical Mentor

An Honorary Researcher and Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College London, Dr Cetto has trained in aesthetics with Dr Obagi and practises his principles of skin health and restoration at Clinic 1.6 in London. Dr Cetto is an Associate Member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, and also holds a diploma in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Emily MacGregor

Curriculum Development Lead & Clinical Mentor

An aesthetic practitioner and teacher with a background of emergency and intensive care medicine. Emily works full time, authoring and refining our academic content, and has experience and a keen interest in education. She completed a psychology degree alongside her medical degree and is interested in the field of the Psychology of Appearance and how this applies to patient care in the cosmetic industry.

Dr Neetu Johnson

Clinical Mentor & Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Neetu is both a consultant psychiatrist and experienced aesthetic doctor, with a specialist interest in Psychodermatology; a new sub-specialty treating primary skin conditions (e.g. acne) with an attendant psychiatric or psychological element (e.g. anxiety). This makes her uniquely qualified to train you in holistic care and patient wellbeing.

Dr Qian Xu

Clinical Mentor

Qian has been working in aesthetics for the better part of a decade, and is passionate about exploring new, evidence-based treatments in the sector. As an MRCS member of the Royal College of Surgeons, and since 2016, an MRCEM member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, Qian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our mentoring faculty.

Dr Christine Cowpland

Clinical Mentor

Founder of CMedical Aesthetic Clinic in Bristol, Dr Cowpland has enjoyed international experience working as both a doctor and an academic and held posts at the University of Western Australia, as well as various A&E departments, before settling on a career in aesthetic medicine. She remains at the forefront of her field, and active in research.

Dr Leah Totton

Clinical Mentor

The nationally renowned founder of Dr Leah Clinics and winner of 2013’s The Apprentice, Dr Totton is an experienced aesthetic practitioner and business manager. She strongly shares Harley Academy’s aspirations to raise standards in our industry and represents the forefront of responsible aesthetic medicine.

Ruth Breeden, RGN, NIP

Clinical Mentor

Independent prescriber Ruth Breeden started as a cosmetic nurse at Sk:n clinics over a decade ago. She now a prolific national trainer with Mapperley Park Academy, and trains doctors, dentists and nurses in botulinum toxins, dermal fillers and skin rejuvenation treatments.

Tracy Butler, RGN, NIP

Clinical Mentor

Tracy Butler is an independent nurse prescriber with over 14 years experience in aesthetics. As a trainer with Mapperley Park Academy, Tracy is one of the UK’s leading aesthetic nurses and has had her work published in the widely regarded Journal of Aesthetics. Tracy supervises Botulinum toxin and dermal filler treatments at Sk:n Birmingham.

Helen Allen, RGN, NIP

Clinical Mentor

After 5 years as an ENT nurse in the NHS, became Director of Pure Aesthetics in 2002. Helen is a prescriber and full-time Advanced Medical Practitioner, with 15 years of experience in a wide range of aesthetic medical treatments.

Dr Robin Stones

Clinical Mentor

Medical Director at Courthouse Clinics, Dr Stones has been working in aesthetic medicine for 17 years. Alongside his role at Courthouse, he holds dermatology posts in the NHS,  tutors on the UCLan Master’s degree course in Facial Aesthetics, and has presented widely at conferences in the past.

Founder & CEO

A medical doctor and entrepreneur supported by Virgin, Tristan holds a postgraduate diploma in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Manchester. Tristan founded Harley Academy to combat the appreciable lack of standardised medical training provided in the speciality.

Dr Nic Blackwell, PhD

Director of Interactive Learning

CEO of OCB Media, the NHS’s online learning provider. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Leicester, Visiting Associate Professor at Tokyo Medical University, and Honorary Research Associate at University College London.

Parveen Downer

Course Logistics and Data Security

Parveen comes from a background in the Life Sciences and Anthropology, with experience in strategising operations and logistics in medical education. She oversees our quality assurance programmes and training day operations, ensuring that all of our delegates flow through their education seamlessly.

Beth Swingler


Cambridge philosophy graduate with a background in technology, strategy consulting, event production, charity work, and neuroscience. Beth recently published her postgraduate research at University College London on using functional near-­infrared spectroscopy to monitor brain activity in real­ world cognitive tasks (2016).

Deneal has over 15 years of experience in sales and student recruitment management within the private education sector.  Deneal oversees the smooth running of the student recruitment team, ensuring that all of our delegates receive the highest levels of customer service and a seamless journey from enquiry to enrolment.

A Sydney-based aesthetic surgeon, Dr. Niro has spoken at conferences around the world, and has a solid track record in medical academia. He has authored dozens of publications, while being a reviewer for various medical journals, as well as a former university tutor.

Elliot Roper

Student Enquiries

A fresh face to the company, with extensive experience and knowledge in private health care and patient coordination. Elliot is responsible for ensuring the bookings and clinical journey of our patients as we strive to provide the highest standards of cosmetic treatments.

Joëlle Rotsaert

Marketing and Social Media

Joëlle is a Belgian fashion management graduate who has previously worked in the fashion and beauty industry as a Marketing Executive. She is responsible for our social media, managing our digital influencers, and liaising with our training clinic patients to guide and assist them through their procedures.

Charlie Cunningham

Mentoring Logistics

Charlie is a University of London ancient history graduate with a background in logistics and management. Hailing from North Yorkshire, assimilation into London was difficult, however, he has overseen the expansion of Harley Academy’s mentoring programme and the growth of our clinical network relatively unfazed.

A London classics graduate with experience in project management and multimedia production, both inside and outside of the education sphere. Ben ensures all our students are able to complete the rigorous assessments of our qualifications confidently, and coordinates the distribution of new learning material.

Centre for Appearance Research

Professor Rumsey founded the Centre for Appearance Research at the University of West England in 1992. She is now Professor and Co-Director of the centre and publishes widely on topics in the psychosociology of human appearance.

Dr Alison Burton, MBBS, LLB

Non-surgical Cosmetic Procedures

A Finland-based cosmetic doctor, researcher and writer with over 12 years experience in aesthetic medicine. Dr Burton’s previous practice in dermatology and basic skin cancer surgery in the UK led to an academic interest in the ageing process of the skin and facial structures.
